About

Hello and thank you for visiting my author site.

I have always loved history. I love reading historical fiction; any era! In historical fiction, through characters and their stories, the real events of history become more than mere statistics. They become human. We learn the stories of people who lived, loved, suffered and even thrived through historical events and eras… and we suddenly care for them and understand what it was really like for ordinary people in that time.

I am fascinated by the amazing feats and courage of the female British agents sent into occupied Europe during WWII. ‘The Warsaw Messenger’ is inspired by an impressive young woman who was one of Churchill’s longest serving agents across Europe. ‘The Sparrow of Bordeaux’ is inspired by an SOE agent who believed she was unremarkable, yet achieved an extra-ordinary feat… achieved by no other female agent in France. I am also interested SE Asia, in particular the Vietnam War era… and having recently lived in Cambodia, there is a Vietnam War era series in my head awaiting the pen. Watch this space!

I write for all who enjoy history, through a great page turner, with a fast pace and a slow burn romance.

When not writing, reading or spending time with my family, I love to travel and enjoy  an outdoor lifestyle  in beautiful NZ.
